Your clients may share menstrual concerns, fertility journeys, disrupted sleep, or changes during menopause. You want to listen thoughtfully—but you also need to decide what that information means for today’s bodywork.
Learn focused, respectful questions that clarify the client’s priorities, comfort needs, and relevant context.
Consider how the client’s goals and feedback influence your positioning, pressure, sequence, and session focus.
Choose a meaningful session goal, evaluate the response, and document what changed—or what did not.
Seven Cycles introduces foundational TCM concepts—including yin and yang, the Five Elements, traditional organ systems, channels, and palpation—as a framework for considering the whole person.
This is more than collecting another technique. You will practice connecting the client’s story, your observations, and what you feel beneath your hands with an intentional bodywork plan.
Founder of Petree Institute and creator of the Seven Cycles certification pathway.
I created Seven Cycles because massage therapists often hear important pieces of a woman’s story but are not always given a structured framework for deciding how that information should influence their bodywork.
I want you to understand what you notice, why you choose an approach, how you adapt your touch, and how you assess the response. The lessons, demonstrations, workbook, guided practice, live Q&A, and final practical case are designed to connect knowledge with application.
Each module moves from understanding a concept to practicing how it influences your reasoning and bodywork decisions.
Study foundational TCM concepts through clear lessons and women’s-health learning scenarios.
Study demonstrations and practice the taught skills with a consenting adult partner.
Complete a session-planning assignment and assess how the framework influenced your choices.
Each module includes foundational instruction and a practical assignment designed to help you connect the learning with appropriate bodywork practice.
Explore qi, yin and yang, and traditional pattern thinking. Learn how these concepts inform the program’s whole-person approach while remaining distinct from biomedical explanations.
